17th European Conference on Management Leadership and Governance
8 - 9 November 2021, Valletta, Malta
ACI is taking a hybrid approach towards conferences this year. We are planning to run our series of conferences as physical events with the option for participants to join virtually. If when it draws close to the time of the event we are unable to meet in person due to COVID-19 restrictions the conference will move fully into the virtual format. We urge you to continue to submit your abstracts and papers in line with the published dates (extensions will be granted on request). Welcome to ECMLG 2021
Welcome to the 17th Conference on Management, Leadership and Governance. It is with pleasure to host this Conference in Malta. As I write, the world is going through an unprecedented pandemic which has tried and tested all our previous understanding of organizational resilience. For many this has been a tragic experience, but we should also look at it as an opportunity to rethink our paradigms in management and leadership. This is an opportunity for researchers and scholars to debate and challenge what we thought were milestone fundamentals and make us question these in a critical manner. While all decisions should be based on the available evidence, including research evidence, researchers should have the courage to challenge what we have taken for granted and break the barriers towards new understanding. In light of this, one other reality emerges: the importance of working in multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary teams. Knowledge is complex and no one stream of expertise has a claim over the truth. Rather, it is important for researchers from different fields of interest and expertise to come together to critically evaluate with an open mind in a collegial environment. This conference provides one such opportunity. We hope that you will join us in the beautiful capital city of Malta, Valletta, at the Old Campus which served as the Collegium Melitense since 1592. We augur that all the conference delegates have a fruitful experience and one that builds new relationships for future collaborations and networking.
