University Information
César Ritz Colleges Switzerland (CRCS) is a Swiss private higher education institution founded in 1982, offering bachelor and master programs to a local and international student body. The name César Ritz comes from Mr César Ritz, who was called “The Hotelier of Kings and The King of Hoteliers”, a Swiss hotelier and founder of the Ritz Hotel in Paris.
CRC is consistently ranked among the top hospitality management schools in the world, with high rankings in the latest QS World University Rankings. In 2026, it was ranked 5th best hospitality school in the world.
Local Information
Brig, in the German-speaking Upper Valais, lies at the foot of the Simplon Pass and has historically been a key gateway between Switzerland and Italy. The town flourished in the 17th century through trade across the pass, leaving behind landmarks such as the impressive Stockalper Palace. Today, Brig is a charming alpine town and an important transport hub for exploring the surrounding mountains and glaciers.
Getting to ICTR
By Plane
Brig is accessible from Geneva, Zurich or Milano Airports , all of which are 2.5 hours by train or public transport. The easiest and fastest route is the train from Geneva or Zurich which costs approximately 70CHF. The Cesar Ritz College is approximately 10 minutes’ walk from the station.

This is usually the most convenient to the conference venue and is usually where pre-conference drinks are held.

Virtual Presentations
There is an option to present your work virtually. Virtual presentations will take place on Zoom, details of the virtual room links will be sent close to the conference date. There will be a check-in session to test your zoom connection prior to the conference. Virtual Participants will have access to the keynotes and all of the virtual presentations.
