Ethics and Academic Research in the age of the AI-Chatbot

A one-hour Webinar

14th November 2023

Presented by: Dr Dan Remenyi

With the arrival of AI-Chatbots and AI powered writing assistants, academic research ethics has never been more important. Thus, conducting academic research to the highest ethical standards is essential for both the researcher personally and the university or institution at which he or she is working. If the highest standards of ethical behaviour are not maintained, then the researcher and the university or institution can easily fall into disrepute. A detailed understanding of academic ethics is required by both faculty and students.

Whereas in former years most of academic research ethics used to be seen as really only being relevant to empirical research it is now an important issue in all forms of academic research.

This webinar will address the major concerns every academic must now be aware of in the new research environment they have to work in, and thus will help the academic researcher find his or her was through the ethics maze.

This webinar delivers practical useful information which may be put to use immediately. It is relevant to academics from all Faculties, Departments and Schools.
