Proofreading services – what we offer
We offer a comprehensive proofreading service for journal and conference papers. Our experienced team of proofreaders will correct typographical errors, including identifying those often missed by spell-checkers and grammar-checkers.
More specifically, we will:
- ensure the spelling, punctuation and grammar of your work is correct,
- advise on the layout of the document,
- check for adherence to the rules of submission for the intended ACI journal or conference, including referencing,
- use Track Changes to allow you to view the changes that are required.
How do I get started?
You email us the work you wish to have proofread. We will make an initial appraisal to determine that the English and writing style is of a standard that can be successfully improved by proofreading. If we are able to accept an assignment you will receive a confirmation via email.
Although each assignment is different, we aim to complete the proofreading of a paper of up to 6000 words within 10 working days of receiving a signed agreement and payment in advance.
If we consider that the standard of written English requires a re-write as opposed to sophisticated proof-reading we will decline the work, but we can recommend you to our Advanced Editing Service.
What does it cost and how can I pay?
Proofreading fees for a paper up to 6000 words are £150.00 plus VAT @ 20%. For papers 6001 to 8000 words are £200 plus VAT @ 20%. For larger projects and editing work please contact us for a quote.

We accept work in Microsoft Word (all versions including RTF). We will not accept pdf files.
