Conference and Programme Chairs

Prof John Dumay is Associate Professor in Accounting at Macquarie University, Sydney. John’s research specialties are intellectual capital, knowledge management, non-financial reporting, management control, research methodologies and academic writing. John has published many peer reviewed articles in leading academic journals. He is also on the Editorial Board of a number of leading journals, he is the Australasian Editor of the Journal of Intellectual Capital and the Editor of Electronic Journal of Knowledge Management.

Prof. Rongbin Lee is the Chair Professor of the Department of the Industrial and Systems Engineering of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Head of Partner State key Laboratory of Ultra-precision Machining Technology, Director of the Knowledge Management Research Centre, and Advanced Manufacturing Technology Research Centre. He is a member of the SERAP panel of the Innovation and Technology Commission, and was elected as the President of the Asian -Pacific Symposium on Precision Engineering and Nanotechnology (ASPEN) for the period 2009-2011.He had had served as ex-Chairman of the Staffing Committee of the Hong Kong Productivity Council, , Past President of the Institution of Electrical Engineers Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Association of the Advancement of Science and Technology. Apart from serving on many editorial boards of international journals, Prof. Lee is the editor of the Journal of Information and Knowledge Management Systems as well as the International Journal of Knowledge and Systems Science. He has pioneered the research in Dispersed Network Manufacturing in the Mainland since 1997. In 2000, he has been supported by Microsoft (HK) to set up the Digital Factory and subsequently the PolyU-Microsoft Enterprise Systems Centre in both logistics engineering and knowledge engineering. He has also pioneered the research and practice of knowledge management and technologies in various organizations which include manufacturing, public utilities, and various government departments.

Professor Rahat Munir is Head of the Department of Accounting and Corporate Governance, Macquarie University, Australia. With extensive experience in all forms of academic endeavours, Professor Munir offer an unbeatable track-record of excellence in curriculum development, research leadership, change management, building teams, effective human resource and financial management. Over the last three decades, he has worked on various projects, including projects funded by transnational organisations. His research interests range from performance measurement systems, CSR, corporate governance, management control systems, banking systems in emerging markets and SMEs/NFP organisations. Professor Munir has earned numerous national and international level research and teaching awards.

Keynote Speakers

Eric Tsui is Associate Director of the Knowledge Management and Innovation Research Centre (KMIRC) and a Senior Educational Development Officer in the Educational Development Centre of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is the Regional Editor of Journal of Knowledge Management, lead and delivered KM programs for more than 15 years. He has also lead many technology-enhanced Teaching and Learning projects and is a crusader of blended learning at the university. His research interests include Knowledge Management technologies, blended learning, cloud services, and collaborations. He is also the Principal Instructor of two Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) on edX covering the topics of Knowledge Management, Big Data and Industry 4.0. He is an honorary advisor to three Hong Kong Government departments and provides consultancy and professional services to many private organisations, NGOs in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, Japan and Brunei. He has B.Sc. (Hons.), PhD and MBA qualifications. Professor Tsui was twice listed as an exemplary/outstanding academic in PolyU Annual Reports in the last 3 years.

 

Mini Track Chairs

Xi Zhang (Jacky) is a professor and the head of dept. information management & management science (IMMS) of TJU, working on AI driven knowledge work, big data analytics, and fintech. He has published 40+ research papers in refereed top-tier journals (e.g., JMIS,JKM,IEEE TKDE, IEEE TEM, JMSE, JASIST, Scientometrics, IMM, CHB, TIS, SHRE, IR, IJIM), and conferences (e.g., WWW, HICSS, PACIS, ECIS, AMCIS). He is the Associate Editor of JMSE (管理科学学报英文版NSFC A), and IJSWIS (SCI). He was the recipient of KDD CUP 2019 3rd Prize (task2). He was honored to receive the China Management Youth Award (2016), supported by the Excellent Youth Funding of NSFC (2017), and Distinguished Youth Funding of Tianjin Natural Science Foundation (2018).
