Berlin is the capital of Germany and has a population of 3.5M people. Berlin’s economy is mainly based on the service sector due to being one of the most popular touristic destinations in Europe.

In October (11-20th 2019) Berlin will host its annual ‘Festival of Lights’, Berlin’s world famous sights and monuments in the city centre become illuminated by light and video projections from 7pm until Midnight.
Getting to ECDG
The Berlin Tegel Airport (TXL) is the main international airport in western Berlin, closest to the conference venue.
From Tegel airport take the express bus X9 to the underground station Jungfernheide, then take the bus line M27 (direction Pankow) to Goslarer Platz. A taxi drive from Tegel airport to our institute is estimated to cost 14 euros and a 10 minute drive.
