information
|
The
Naval Postgraduate School
is an academic institution whose emphasis is on study and research programs relevant
to the Navy's interests, as well as to the interests of other arms of the
Department of Defense. The programs are designed to accommodate the unique
requirements of the military.
Located in Monterey, California,
on the Pacific Ocean 120 miles south of San
Francisco, the campus covers 627 acres of land. The
site, which has been home to NPS since 1947, houses state-of-the-art
laboratories, numerous academic buildings, a great library, government
housing and impressive recreational facilities.

The conference hotels are the Hyatt Regency
Monterey, which is within walking distance of NPS, and the Holiday
Inn Seaside. Please note that in order to obtain the accommodation rates
quoted, you must book via the conference registration page

Conference Dinner

The
conference dinner will be held at the Pasadera
Country Club in the Monterey Peninsular. Click on the club name to visit

Getting to NPS
|
Airports:
Monterey is
serviced by most major airlines, to include United, American, Delta, and US
Airways. All flights arriving in Monterey
connect through either San Francisco or Los Angeles.
Rental car companies, are located in the terminal building. After picking up
your car, follow the exit signs to "Garden Road". Turn right on Garden Road. Stay
on Garden Road
until it dead-ends at Mark
Thomas Drive. Turn Left on Mark Thomas Drive. Stay on Mark Thomas Drive
until the first traffic light (Sloat
Ave). Turn right on to Sloat Avenue, then right into NPS at
the 10th Street
Gate. Turn left on University
Way. Park in the large parking lot located on
your right as you approach the main building (Herrmann Hall). Check in at the
BOQ office located to the right, just inside the main entrance.
