| Dr Catherine Middleton Dr. Middleton holds a Canada Research Chair in Communication Technologies in the Information Society. Her research focuses on the development and use of new communication technologies, with specific interests in mobile devices and fixed and wireless broadband networks. She is also interested in how Canadians use (or don't use) the internet in their daily lives. A member of the GRAND Networks of Centres of Excellence projece, she is the Leader of the New Media Challenges and Opportunities research theme and also leads the GRAND Digital Infrastructures project. Catherine teaches Innovation and Organization Theory in the MBA/MMSc program in the Ted Rogers School of Management, and teaches and supervises students in the Communication and Culture graduate program. | Gary Davenport As Vice-President of Information Technology, Gary Davenport is responsible for the definition and implementation of transformational business initiatives using information technology for the Allstream business unit of MTS Allstream Inc. In this role, Gary leads a team of dedicated IT professionals focused on improving business capabilities in a very competitive telecommunications industry. He is also the Executive Sponsor for Allstream's Workplace 2.0 Program enabling much greater levels of employee mobility, productivity and engagement. Prior to joining MTS in 2006, Gary spent his career within the retailing industry working for the Hudson's Bay Company. During his last seven years at HBC as VP of IT and then as CIO, he led the transformation of one of Canada's largest and most complex IT operations. In 2004, HBC's progress was recognized with the winning of five prestigious IT industry awards in a 12-month period. Gary has participated on many North American and European CIO Councils and also served on the Board of Directors of the Voluntary Inter-industry Communications Standards (VICS) organization. | Dr Tiko Iyamu Tiko Iyamu is a Professor of information systems at the Tshwane University of Technology, Pretoria, South Africa. He also serves as a Professor Extraordinaire at the Department of Computer Science, University of the Western Cape, South Africa. Before taken fulltime appointment in academic, he was Chief Architect and Head of Architecture & Governance at the Government and Private institutions, respectively. His research interests include Mobile Computing, Enterprise Architecture, Information Technology Strategy; and focuses on Actor Network Theory (ANT) and Structuration Theory (ST). | Dr Michael Kyobe Michael Kyobe is an Associate Professor of Information Systems at UCT. He holds a PhD in Computer Information Systems from the University of Free State in South Africa and an MBA from the University of Durham, United Kingdom. Prior to joining the University of Free State in 2000, Michael worked in the IS & IT industries in various technical and managerial positions for many years. He has consulted extensively with organisations in the public and private sectors in Strategic Planning and Alignment, Computer Networking, Computer Auditing, Systems Development and Knowledge Management systems. His research interests include: Strategic alignment; Strategic Information Systems Planning; Computer Auditing & Security; IT resource utilization & Knowledge management. | |
| Dr. Yousef Shahwan Yousef is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Faculty of Business and Economics (FBE) of United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) in United Arab Emirates. Dr. Shahwan received his PhD in Accounting from the University of Western Sydney in Australia in 2002. He is a Certified Consultant of Accounting Solutions 2010 by Sage and continuously utilizes the most modern technological concepts and applications in scholarship and consultations. Dr. Shahwan has many publications in international journals some of which are published in: Journal of Applied Accounting Research (JAAR), Review of Pacific Basin Financial Markets and Policies (RPBFMP), and Journal of Applied Business Research (JABR). He participated in many well-recognized international accounting conferences such as: the 28th McMaster World Congress of Corporate Governance in Canada, the 29th Annual Congress of European Accounting Association in UK, the 27th Annual Congress of European Accounting Association in Chick Republic, and the 7th Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Accounting in SPAIN. He successfully received many research grants and of current research grant in the true potential of technology adoption. Dr. Shahwan is the Managing Editor of an international refereed journal that is Journal of Accounting, Business and Management (JABM). He is also a member in the editorial board of International Journal of Accounting and Finance (IJAF) and Journal for International Business and Entrepreneurship Development (JIBED). | Farid Shirazi Farid Shirazi is currently assistant professor at Ted Rogers School of Information Technology Management (ITM), Ryerson University Canada. He is also a research scholar at the Institute for Innovation and Technology Management.
