The
International Conference on e-Government (ICEG 2007) invites researchers,
practitioners and academics to present their research findings, work in
progress and conceptual advances in any branch of e-Government. The meeting
brings together varied groups of people with different perspectives together
into one location, for the purposes of helping practitioners find ways to put
research into practice, and for researchers to gain an understanding of
additional real-world problems. To achieve this goal, we are inviting
researchers and practitioners from around the world to present their research
findings and new ideas, and practitioners to demonstrate actual products.
Please read the Call for Papers and
Demonstrations; abstract submissions and demonstration proposals are due
on 19 April, 2007.
In its 3rd year, the conference will be held in Montreal, Canada.
Montreal is a
city of contrasts with French and English quarters, ancient and modern
buildings. The city is known for its vibrant cultural life. And autumn is an
ideal season for tourism as temperatures are mild, and colour changing leaves
abound.
Montreal has a lot to offer for the
visitors. Excellent public transportation with subway and buses enables the
visitor to move across the city with ease. The university has a direct
entrance from the subway. The capital of Canada,
Ottawa is
only 2 hours away by car or bus. Montreal is
about 2.5 hours from the beautiful historical Québec
City, capital of the province, and
about 8 hours from New York City.
The Olympic Stadium, Biosphere and Insectarium are unique points of interest,
one bus or a short cab ride away. Many museums are also easily accessible.
University of Quebec in Montreal is an institution of higher education which
offers more than 100 programs to 44 000 students, of which 15,000 are in Business School. Founded in
1968, UQAM’s professional teaching staff includes about 1000 full
time faculties and 1000 lecturers. We look forward to welcoming you to Montreal.
