“Researching Material, Representational and Experiential Tropes: Branding the Island, Enisling the Brand”

The 8th European Conference on Research Methodology for Business and Management Studies will be hosted by the University of Malta and held in the magnificent baroque building in Valletta, the original site that housed the University of Malta since its establishment in 1592.  Valletta is a UNESCO world heritage site with no less than 320 monuments. It is a fortified city that was built on a grid plan for defense purposes in the 16th Century by the Knights of the Order of St John.

The University of Malta boasts of “an outstanding past”  and looks forward to “a bright future” with over 10,000 students, of whom ten per cent are international students hailing from around 80 countries. It is now geared towards the infrastructural, industrial, cultural, social and community needs of the country with eleven faculties: Architecture & Civil Engineering; Arts; Dental Surgery; Economics, Management & Accountancy; Education; Engineering; Information & Communication Technology; Laws; Medicine & Surgery; Science and Theology.

As Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy and on behalf of the University of Malta it is my pleasure to invite researchers, academics and people from business to come together to listen, discuss and present their research, views and knowledge.

Note to Authors: Due to the large number of papers expected for this conference, the committee only allows an author to present one paper. Therefore if multiple papers are accepted for presentation different co-authors need to present each paper. Author registration must be completed by 18 May 2009.
