Knowledge management has emerged in the last two decades as a key activity for value creation and as well as for economic and social organizational memory building. Culture and organizational learning, supported by modern information and communication technologies, are responsible for multiple knowledge leverage processes, which when properly managed contribute to dynamic organizational sustainability. These and other related topics will be discussed and explored at 15th European Conference on Knowledge Management this year, which is being hosted by the School of Management and Technology of Polytechnic Institute of Santarém,. It will be an excellent opportunity to leverage our knowledge, to share our experiences and to reinforce our academic and scientific networks.

Santarém is the capital of the Ribatejo region and is located just in the heart of Portugal. It is an historic region and has been inhabited since pre-historic times. It was founded in 1147 by King Afonso Henriques, when it was known as Scalabis,. This ancient city has been occupied by Phoenicians, Greeks and Carthaginians. Known as the capital of Gothic architectural style, Santarém merges, through a symbiotic approach, the old traditions and modernity. Land of traditions, this city is also known by its churches, its gastronomy, agriculture, horses and bullfights.

This edition of European Conference of Knowledge Management, as well of being an opportunity for learning and sharing knowledge, is also an opportunity to discover and embody part of our culture and hospitality.

We invite you all to join us on September 2014. You are really welcome!

The review panel has completed the selection process of abstract submitted before the deadline and a complete list of abstracts selected for submission as full papers have been posted to the abstract selected webpage. To protect the integrity of the double-blind peer review process, abstract titles and author details are separated. Titles are listed in no particular order and author names are listed alphabetically by lead author surname

The conference organisers have received multiple requests to extend the abstract submission deadline. The conference committee has kindly agreed to extend the abstract submission deadline until Friday the 28th February 2014

In addition to the main conference topics below, the advisory group invites submissions to the following mini tracks:

The conference was launched at the close of ECKM 2013 in Kaunas, Lithuania. The abstract submission deadline is 13 February 2014 (Extended until 28 February 2014) Full papers are due not later than 3 April 2014. Authors are advised that this is a FINAL date. Earlier submission of the full paper helps us to manage the review process in a timely manner so if your paper is ready before 3 April 2014, we would be delighted to receive it early.

This is of particular importance if you will need a visa to attend the conference.

Please read the style guidelines document and the submission information page. Papers should be submitted as soon as they are ready as .doc or .rtf file attachments by email to the Conference Manager, Julia Hawkins with the paper submission checklist and copyright form, which are available from the download area on the top of the At a Glance page.

Note to Authors:
Due to the large number of papers expected for this conference, the committee prefers that an author presents only one paper. However, if multiple papers are accepted for publication and presentation, each paper requires a separate registration fee. Author registration (including payment) must be completed by 31 July 2014.
