We intend to make this event as enjoyable as possible both on scientific and human aspects. As in previous years, ECIW will address elements of both theory and practice of all aspects of Information Warfare and Security, and offers an opportunity for academics, practitioners and consultants involved in these areas to come together and exchange ideas. We also wish to attract operational papers dealing with the critical issue that the modern world has to face regarding the evolution of cyberwarfare capabilities development by nation states. The programme for the event promises an extensive range of peer-reviewed papers, networking opportunities and presentations from leaders in the field.
Laval is a small but beautiful city with a very nice medieval downtown and July is a very enjoyable month to discover Laval. Aside many architectural curiosities, Laval and its surroundings are famous for its gastronomy and its cultural events.
All of us at ESIEA look forward to welcoming you to a special part of France.

| Publication opportunity Papers accepted for the conference will be published in the conference proceedings, subject to author registration and payment.
Selected papers presented at the Conference will be considered for publication in a special issue of the Journal of Information Warfare: http://www.jinfowar.com. Additionally, selected papers from the conference will be considered for publication in the International Journal of Electronic Security and Digital Forensics published by Inderscience UK (ISSN:1751-1911X)
Conference status
A complete listing of abstracts accepted as full papers has been posted up on the Abstracts Selected webpage. Full papers are due not later than 3 February 2012. Authors are advised that this is a FINAL date. Earlier submission of the full paper helps us to manage the review process in a timely manner. Please read the style guidelines document and the submission guidelines page. Papers should be submitted as soon as they are ready as .doc or .rtf file attachments by email to the Conference Manager, Charlotte Hall with the paper submission checklist and copyright form, which are available from the download area on the top of the At a Glance page.
Applications are still being accepted to the 2012 review committee. If you would like to be considered, please click the link at the right hand side and complete the application form.
Note to Authors: Due to the large number of papers expected for this conference, the committee prefers that an author presents only one paper. However, if multiple papers are accepted for publication and presentation, each paper requires a separate registration fee. Author registration (including payment) must be completed by 1 June 2012
