Conference Chair: Steven Furnell. University
of Plymouth, UK
Programme Chair: Debi Ashenden, Cranfield
University, UK
Keynote speaker: Jeremy Ward, Symantec Global Services, UK “Can Europe ever make a
difference to global cybersecurity”
The 7th European Conference on Information Warfare
and Security will be held at the University
of Plymouth, on the south west
peninsula of the United Kingdom.
The conference will address elements of both theory and practice of all
aspects of Information Warfare and Security, and offers an opportunity for
academics, practitioners and consultants involved in the domain to come
together and exchange ideas. The
programme for the event will include an extensive range of peer-reviewed
papers, including presentations from leaders in the field.
The university is situated in the centre of the historic city of Plymouth, which offers
an exciting blend of heritage and contemporary culture. In addition to the conference itself,
delegates will be able to enjoy the thriving city centre, the scenic
surroundings of Plymouth Hoe, and the Elizabethan streets of the Barbican area. For those able to travel a little
further, Plymouth is within easy reach of
attractions such as the Dartmoor
National Park and the
internationally acclaimed Eden Project.
We hope that you will be able to be part of ECIW 2008 and we look forward to
welcoming you to Plymouth.

For operational reasons we have had to alter the
submission dates for this conference. However, as we are aware that a
considerable amount of literature was in circulation before we did this we
will honour all submissions that arrive by the original dates (21 January for
Abstracts and 10 March for papers). We would ask that you strive to meet the
new dates as these have been arranged to allow a longer paper review period
which we hope will give authors more time to arrange travel and registration
after receiving reviewer feedback.

multiple papers are accepted for presentation different co-authors need to
present each paper. Author registration must be completed by 26
