| Conference Status The conference is now closed. ECGBL 2013 Porto, Portugal was launched at the close of ECGBL 2012.
Publication opportunity
Papers presented at the conference are published in the conference proceedings. Selected papers will also be considered for publication in a special issue of the Electronic Journal of e-Learning and to the International Journal of Game-Based Learning. The latest issue of the Electronic Journal of e-Learning is available to read online. | |

Who was there?
Due to industrial action taken by air traffic controllers, many participants were not able to get to Greece for the conference. We therefore make available the author pictures provided with papers to help facilitate networking efforts. |

Congratulations to Sofia Mysirlaki, University of Piraeus, Greece whose paper “Leadership in a Networked World: The case of Massive Multiplayer Online Environments” was awarded Best PhD paper and to Evelyn Cloosen, Provinciale Hogeschool Limburg, Jeroen Dierckx, EDM - UHasselt and Jim Bollansée, Media & Design Academy - KHLim, Belgium, whose poster “Pulling the Strings: Wired Puppetry” was voted best poster at the conference.
