It is of the outmost pleasure to host the 12th Annual ECEG Conference at the Institute of Public Governance and Management of ESADE in Barcelona during June 14th and 15th, 2012.

Created in 1993, the Institute of Public Governance and Management has served to consolidate the experience already accumulated by ESADE since the 1980s when it began its initial endeavours in the public management field. Since then, more than 2,000 public leaders and managers have participated in the numerous activities organised, and the extensive research, books, conferences, scientific articles, case studies and other material published attest to the Institute members’ academic activity. Within ESADE, the Institute’s mission aims at contributing to improve governance and to develop responsible leadership in the public sector. Its future vision is to become an internationally renowned academic reference in the public governance and management field although it is already very well known in Spain and some Latin American countries

Barcelona offers its visitors a wide range of opportunities. It is Spain’s most cosmopolitan city with a lot of restaurants, bars and clubs but also with a beautiful seaside, amazing architecture, and great shops. Nobody gets bored in Barcelona!

We hope that you will be able to join us at ECEG 2012 and we look forward to welcoming you to our lively city.

Conference status
The call for papers has now closed. You can find details of abstracts selected for submission as full papers to the review process on the abstracts selected page. Full papers are due not later than 12 January 2012 and should be submitted as attachments by email to the conference manager. Full details are in the acceptance email. Please read the submission guidelines page and model paper and ensure that you return the paper checklist and copyright form. Please note, earlier submission of the full paper helps us to manage the review process in a timely manner, so if your paper is ready before 12 January, we would be delighted to receive it early. This is of particular importance if you will need a visa to attend the conference.

Applications are being accepted to join the conference committee.

Note to Authors: Due to the large number of papers expected for this conference, the committee only allows an author to present one paper. Therefore if multiple papers are accepted for presentation different co-authors need to present each paper. Author registration must be completed by 10 May 2012
