Welcome to ECDG 2017

Welcome to ECDG 2017

The European Conference on e-Government has been running now for 17 years. This event has been held in Italy, Ireland, Belgium, UK, Slovenia, to mention a few of the countries who have hosted it. This year we are refocusing the conference to look more broadly at the area of Digital Government. The conference is generally attended by participants from more than 40 countries and attracts an interesting combination of academic scholars, public sector workers and individuals who are engaged in various aspects of Digital Government research and application.

ECDG 2017 is being hosted by the Portuguese Military Academy (Lisbon), and is being held at the Military Academy Quarters in Amadora City. Amadora City is near Lisbon.

The conference will also host the finals of the Digital Government Excellence Awards.

A recent addition to this conference is the Workshop which will be held on the day preceding the conference.

A personal message from the Conference Co Chairs

As conference co-chairs we extend you a very warm welcome to what will be an excellent conference, Lisbon is a sunny city with a unique gastronomic tradition. Lisbon is a capital like no other in the world, with so much to offer, in a truly magical setting. We welcome your contributions to the programme and full participation in both the academic and general interest activities being planned for the event. We are especially excited about the re-focusing of this conference to broaden the scope from e-Government to Digital Government.
